All essential amenities and more are within easy reach of Kimkeri. The nearest major supermarket is Bourton-on-the-Water’s Co-Operative Food, an 18-minute walk or a 4- minute drive away. It is well-stocked with all the essentials you’ll need during your stay, with an impressive fresh meat and fish offering, local cheeses, French breakfast pastries and freshly baked bread and extensive wines and beers. There’s also a Londis a bit closer to the house, in the High Street, which is again perfect for store cupboard essentials. Bourton-on-the-Water houses some fantastic bakeries for those who like to pick up a fresh loaf in the morning. Further afield, Stow-on-the-Wold’s Tesco Superstore (a 10-minute drive) is another option.

The playground is just a two-minute walk from Kimkeri. Turn right out of the back gate, past the British Legion buildings on the left. There is a metal gate leading onto a grassy path to the playground and a big public meadow for games called The Naight.
Another little walk (a push-chair/buggy can be used but depending on its size might need to be lifted at some points) starts just behind Kimkeri. Go out of the back gate and turn right, passing the British Legion buildings on your left. You will come to a gate that leads onto a grassy path to the playground and public meadow. Follow the path along the back walls of the houses towards the rather grand garage complex (recognizable by the clock tower). Go along the small passageway until you come to the Mill House. Turn left and follow the path along towards the river, over the bridge and along the path on the other bank of the river. After a while, you will come to a kissing gate which leads to a field where, in the summer, you can sit and let the kids paddle in the river. When you have had enough, just follow the path over the field until you get to another gate, leading to a little pathway. Follow the pathway along until you hit a road. If you make a left on this road, you will hit the Motor Museum and the beginning of the green. If you continue more or less straight along the back roads, you will come out at the end of the green by the ford.

Kimkeri

Very well situated and well equipped. The house was very comfortable. Nice to find a basket of childrens toys which excited the 2 year old ! Would be nice to have shampoo provided but thats a small point as overall the house was lovely and exactly as described

Lovely property but issues with drainage were not dealt with

I would have loved to have been able to give a great review. The house is in the most perfect location, well presented and with all the home comforts that you could possibly need. On arrival the house was clean but there was a smell of drains which appeared to be coming from the kitchen sink. Overnight the downstairs toilet blocked and the top floor hot tap broke. We reported this first thing Saturday morning and got a text to say they were busy with another problem. I chased things again in the afternoon and returned to be informed the tap was fixable but they were trying to get a drain company to look at the drainage issues. We heard nothing more from anyone from this point on and were left to sort the issue as best we could. We avoided using the kitchen except to make drinks. We felt very let down with the support offered. At the very least some further contact would have been appreciated just to see how things were or an offer of some bleach (we purchased some ourselves).

Lovely stay / ideal location and plenty of space with 3 young children!

Great Location and lovely house

The house is situated very near to the centre of Bourton on the Water, but far enough away as to not be disturbed by the tourists. Bourton on the Water has really lovely cafes, pubs and supermarket (open until 10pm) and other shops. We went in September and it was comfortable to walk around the town. The house is lovely and clean and the welcome pack was much appreciated. There are few areas that could be improved slightly but not anything that would disappoint your stay. Great to find a 3 bedroom (all rooms are a lovely size, along with the comfy beds), 2 bathrooms and 3 car parking spaces - ideal for 3 couples to stay and one dog! Great location for visiting other areas in the Cotswolds as well.

Great Location in comfortable house

Nice property only 2-3 minutes walk from shops and restaurants in Bourton-on-the-Water. Great to have parking for three cars at the back of the property and the garden was a wonderful size and a quiet haven to sit in away from the busy bustle of Bourton-on-the-Water. Fully enclosed for our two dogs. Bedrooms were all a good size and the beds very comfy. Large kitchen with plenty of worktop space.
We spent most of our time in the kitchen/diner/snug area at the back of the house which could have benefitted from having more comfortable seating near the TV.
Kitchen is a little dated and although there was a file full of instructions for the appliances we couldn't find one for the cooker but perhaps we just missed it.
We felt that on the whole it was a nice property in a great location but under the surface there were a few things that could be improved. We did use the front door on occasion which on the outside was full of cobwebs and needed a good clean. There were no window keys for the windows in the dining area and you couldn't open the skylight. So, if you didn't want to keep the patio doors open then the only window available to open was the one in the kitchen which when it was hot was insufficient and inconvenient if you didn't want to let the dogs in the garden.
Welcome pack adequate but not up to the standard that we have found left in other properties.
We would certainly recommend the property as there is plenty of room for six adults and a wonderful location for exploring the Cotswolds.

Fantastic property in an excellent location.

Charming and spacious home in the amazing village of Bourton on the Water. Clean, quiet and well appointed. Having the car park and the garden was an essential bonus.
Anne
Great location, comfortable house.

Nice house in a wonderful location, easy walk into Bourton with a park right next door which was enjoyed by the grandkids. House is well equipped if a little tired inside, kitchen could benefit from an upgrade. One thing missing was a stair gate which would have been useful when visiting with a 1 year old!
Bedrooms are a lovely size and the beds comfortable. The garden is lovely and well maintained. Plenty of parking at rear which was great. We did return on the Sunday to an unfamiliar car on the drive, on questioning them on their return they had parked there to visit Bourton as they believed they could as it didnt say Private !
Overall a nice house to stay in.

Beautiful home, perfectly located to everything yet still private.

We had a lovely stay here. Everything was as described, lovely and clean and in a great location.
Meg
A lovely house in a great location, just 2 minutes walk from the centre of the village with parking for 3 vehicles. The house was clean and comfortable with 3 large double bedrooms and the kitchen was very well equipped. A lovely welcome pack was also supplied. All in all a great family break.
Karen
This is a beautiful home in a wonderful location. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable beds. We stayed with our adult children over Christmas and it was perfect and great aesthetics. The kitchen is well provisioned with all you need for cooking large family meals, even Christmas dinner! There was a lovely welcome hamper. What was especially lovely was the very special Christmas tree and trimming throughout the house which made our celebrations. Highly recommended.

Great village location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kimkeri. It was especially nice that we could park the car behind house and then spend most of our time walking to everything. Our granddaughter was thrilled to have a playground so close. The place was very comfortable and well equipped.

Great Location

Nice property only 2-3 minutes walk from shops and restaurants in Bourton-on-the-Water. Standard of finish could be better and both lounges are a bit dim and unwelcoming. Conservatory/dining area could do with more seating like an L-shaped sofa rather than the two tub-chairs, as not enough for 6 people when it's the natural place to want to sit. Has everything else you need though including a nice garden/garden furniture, good parking/access for 3 vehicles and very comfy beds with good quality bedding and towels.

Great location

Kimkeri is a really nice family holiday home. Great selection of games and toys and garden is perfect for relaxing. We loved that we parked our cars in the allocated spaces and then didnt use them for a week. Everything in the village is within walking distance!
The only thing missing for us was a stair gate! That would have been really useful when holidaying with a 21 month year old!

Great location, especially for families with small kids and those wanting to explore the Cotswolds.

We stayed at Kimkeri for 6 nights. From there, we had access to Chipping Camden, Bibury, Stratford Upon Avon, Stonehenge, and more, within easy driving distance. The house sits a short walk away to a playground that our two boys (8, 5) absolutely adored, especially the zipline! Mousetrap Inn is a 1 minute walk (kids loved the Eton Mess!), Bakery on the Water is 3-5 minute walk (fabulous pastries, coffee and more), and several other restaurants that we truly enjoyed. Perhaps the best of them was the Old New Mill at the opposite end of town, easily worth the 10 minute walk especially if you can sit on the back patio on a blue sky day. Bourtons high street is unquestionably charming, but best enjoyed before 9 am. During the day its overrun with day trippers hovering along the river and swelling the adjacent shops and restaurants none of which we found to be cant miss (save for the Corswold Bakery and a few ice cream spots). The house itself had 3 generously sized bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 showers), and a very functional first floor layout. We repeatedly struggled to figure out how to use the combo washer-dryer (hit or miss as to whether our clothes would come out dry), but perhaps thats because Americans are so unfamiliar with the combo equipment. We did try everything! The patio door is sneaky hard to figure out how to lock. With a few handle jiggles and several full key turns it eventually latches, but it isnt intuitive. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever. We had a wonderful trip and would recommend Kimkeri without reservation to anyone wanting to enjoy Bourton and the best of the surrounding Cotswolds.

Lovely cottage stay

My family and I loved Kimkeri. It is a comfortable, lovely cottage. We loved the easy walk to restaurants, shopping, and of course the water and ducks. Were sorry we couldnt stay longer and enjoy more time in the backyard, especially.

Very pleased with our accommodation.

We were very pleased with our accommodation. Clean and well resourced. Several sitting areas was a bonus. The location and parking area was great. Enjoyed so much, weve booked again. Would thoroughly recommend Kimkeri.

Great place for my family

What a perfect place, in a perfect location, in a gorgeous part of the Cotswolds! Kimkeri was a lovely cottage and so spacious! 3 really good size bedrooms, 3 sitting areas! There was only my husband and I, and our 2 year old but we would have easily had another 2 adults comfortably stay with us. Very comfortable beds and the kitchen was really well equipped. Bourton on the water was wonderful and it was less than. 5 mins walk from Kimkeri to the centre of Bourton. The bonus was the 3 parking spaces and playground at the end of the road! We would definitely stay here again when were back in the Cotswolds.

Home from home

The house is extremely well equipped with high quality gadgets. Central location with parking. It is very spacious with ample room for 6 people, ideal for a longer stay.
Arrival and departure times could be improved by adding an hour each end to make it more comfortable. Email contact did not work but phone was answered immediately and issue resolved promptly. Would happily return.

Kimkeri The Place To Stay

Four generations of our family spent a week at this lovely house.
Communal areas on ground floor were ideal for family life. Two supersized televisions and large dining table provided great spots for the family to gather. Kitchen was extremely well fitted out.
All bedrooms had comfy beds and adequate storage.
Rear garden was large and had the weather been warmer would have been ideal area to relax in.
House is in an ideal spot to access the village.

Great location, very clean BUT the outside lighting needs to be looked at urgently.

As a family we've stayed at many cottages in the Cotswolds, to be fair mainly Rural Retreats. Kimkeri was very clean, beds very comfy, well equipped and great location. BUT we bought my 85 Mum along and the outside of this property needs to be looked at urgently. No lighting in the back of the garden, if you arrive in the evening, its so dark and the pavement is extremely slippery. I couldn't let my Mum walk on her own outside, too dangerous.
Also, the outside light at the front of the house doesn't work which was also very dark, couldn't see the steps and again very slippery.
Sue Thornton
A thoroughly enjoyable family break at Kimkeri.

Kimkeri is a spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable house very close to the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water. The garden and provision of ample private parking were great assets.

Excellent location to village

The property was ideally located for access to the village which had plenty of places to eat and drink, as well as a small but well stocked supermarket. The property had an enclosed garden which is ideal for dogs. Nicely furnished with all the required amenities. Two bathrooms both had showers but no bath. Downstairs toilet very useful.

A relaxing haven in beautiful Bourton

What a treat! We stayed with our two children and grandparents. Beds are huge and comfy. Plentiful blankets. Huge fluffy towels. Everything you could want in the kitchen. Thoughtful extras in condiments and toiletries.
Massive TV screen, big fridge... the owners are very generous and it makes the house feel like home from home.
Kids loved being so close to a good playground, we loved the garden furniture, church bells and easy walks onto the village and fields beyond. We also worked from home whilst grandparents looked after the kids and found WiFi speeds good with 2 of us working. Definitely a place we will return to.

Nice week in the Cotswolds

Had a great week at the house. Lots of outdoor time. The garden was perfect for the dog. The Gardner came the week we were there but I think its needs more upkeep, looking a bit scruffy. The recycle bin was overflowing, as I presume its picked up on alternate weeks. The house was great for summer and easy to get into town.

A Nice Escape in The Cotswolds

House in a superb location for everything in Bourton & Bourton was central to wider area for places we visited.
Customer Service was very responsive.
Some lovely touches and extras in the house but some basics missing (Dishcloth, Washing up bowl, Cheese Grater, Measuring Jug, bin bags) which one would expect for the price. Assured these will be replaced via a text by return so I have no doubt that they will.

Bourton central character cottage

Brilliant location in central Bourton on the Water so easy 5 minute walks to good restaurants and local shops. We holidayed as a family in late November and had a great time even if the weather was sometimes inclement, in the summer it would be fabulous as the garden is well set up and secluded for outdoor dining.
House is well equipped over three floors with bags of Cotswold character and it has off street parking which is a real bonus.
Would happily return to this one.
